Getting Ready for a Wedding

Remember my dear friend’s engagement shoot from this spring? Their wedding finally arrived! I was a bridesmaid in the wedding and they had a fabulous photographer team to shoot their ceremony and festivities. As the photographers weren’t hired to arrive until just before the ceremony, I couldn’t resist grabbing some detail and preparation shots.

The groom had one of the kids drop a package off at the door- a sweet card and a photo album of their time together. Look at her face- this is what happiness should look like!

Some photos I didn’t think to ask for at my own wedding were artistic shots of the rings. I love the intricacies of her engagement ring and the beauty of the wood next to the rose gold on the groom’s ring.

My style is mostly bright and colorful, but in event photography I do appreciate the way black and white photos can add to the storytelling. The bride loved these ‘getting ready’ shots in B&W!

I went dress shopping with the bride and we all fell in LOVE with this dress! The lace and the details were stunning and I loved capturing these photos. I really loved the sleeves and had been imagining that shot since the day she brought the dress!

I felt honored to stand up at this beautiful couple’s wedding, and I can’t wait to see the photos their photographers captured of their day!
